Danail Vasilev
Danail Vasilev is a doctoral research fellow at the University of Oslo. His area of research is household finance, where he focuses on the market for high-cost credit. Prior to beginning his course, he was a lead associate at the Financial Conduct Authority – the UK’s financial services regulator. There he led a team analysing interventions in the markets for high risk bonds, cryptocurrency exchanges, overdrafts and other forms of high cost lending.
Ema Ivanova
Ema Ivanova is a trainee at DG Monetary Policy at the European Central Bank and a Master's student in Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) with a focus on Monetary Policy, Data Science and Machine Learning, and Behavioural Economics. Her academic pursuits and practical expertise converge in her interest in evidence-based public policy making and policy impact evaluation. Ema’s professional journey includes valuable experiences as a consultant in the public sector advisory at KPMG and as an expert in the office of the Deputy Prime Minister on EU Funds Management Atanas Pekanov in the caretaker governments of the Republic of Bulgaria in the period 2021-2023. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (First Class Honours) from Aston University, Birmingham, UK. During her studies she also visited the exchange programs at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). In 2017 she graduated from the American College of Sofia.
Nikola Nenovsky
Nikola N. Nenovsky is pursuing a Master's degree in Econometrics and Statistics at the Toulouse School of Economics, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Applied Mathematics at the same institution. He also has a background in engineering studies. He has interned at the Macroeconomics Directorate of the Bulgarian National Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Bulgaria in 2023, gaining valuable experience in economic analysis and policy-making.
Rada Pavlova
Rada Pavlova is a research fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Her research interests are in economic development and macroeconomics. She obtains her Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Yale University, and shortly after, completes an internship in Bihar, one of India's poorest states, as part of a project on the experimental evaluation of a flood forecasting tool.
