Bulgarian Council for Economic Analyses

Today's global challenges require decisive, sustainable and transformative economic decisions, the adoption of new ideas and bold action based on the science of Economics. In light of the major socio-economic changes of the 21st century, the Council for Economic Analysis will have the task of analyzing key economic, macroeconomic and social issues and proposing appropriate policies and solutions. 

The Council will consist of internationally recognized economists with undisputed academic reputation who will assess the challenges facing the Bulgarian economy and make policy proposals to address them. It will be advisory in nature and will include respected academic economists from prestigious universities and research institutions both internationally, as well as from Bulgaria. 

The Council will provide independent analyses and opinions on specific issues concerning the state of the Bulgarian economy, the challenges and risks facing it, as well as possible policies and recommendations to address them. The main purpose of these opinions is to assist the government in making strategic decisions for economic development, as well as to inform the Bulgarian public on current economic topics. In addition to these opinions, the Council will organize an annual economic conference dedicated to the challenges and risks facing the Bulgarian, European and global economies.
