The Council for Economic Analyses at the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria is tasked with analyzing key economic, macroeconomic, and social issues and proposing appropriate policies and solutions. The Council consists of internationally recognized economists with undisputed academic reputation who assess the challenges facing the Bulgarian economy and make policy recommendations to address them. It has an advisory role and includes respected academic economists from prestigious universities and research institutions, both internationally, as well as from Bulgaria.

The Council prepares independent analyses and opinions on specific issues concerning the state of the Bulgarian economy, the challenges and risks it faces, as well as possible policies and recommendations for addressing them. The main objective of these opinions is to support public authorities in making strategic decisions regarding economic development, as well as to inform the Bulgarian public about leading economic topics. In addition to these opinions, the Council organizes an annual economic conference, dedicated to the challenges and risks facing the Bulgarian, European and global economies.
